The name

Why Cardale?

How a fish bar in Crich came to be named after a town on television.

Cardale was the made-up town in Peak Practice. The series was filmed in and around Crich through the 1990s, and the shop itself appeared in a couple of episodes. The name stayed.

We're on Market Place, about 15 minutes' walk from the Tramway Museum and 25 from Crich Stand, and we cook for people from the village and visitors to the area alike.

For vegetarians We keep meat products separate, so our fish and chips are suitable for vegetarians who eat fish.
